Whew! What an awesome last week topped off by an amazing weekend! Praise God! First off, had a pretty smooth week at work, the week was highlighted with some great fellowship related news in that Jack and Sharon (JSW) said they would be coming to C&C now! And also the Samurai Champloo crew will be starting our accountability group! Also had a very cool conversation about "meeting new people" with Grace =).
Then Jammaster James invited me to a potluck which I unfortunately wasn't able to go to. But Friday night I was privileged to be able to go sing karaoke with Barnabas and his cell group from Crossroads church including Jang and Hannah. Barnabas decided to make it a "boy band" night so I joined in with him as we sang the corny teen-heart throb classics from Nsync, Backstreet Boys, and 98 degrees. Highlights of the night were Hannah's singing a Sarah Brightman song in Italian (amazing!) and Barnabas and I concluding the session with Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name." I must admit, we were da bomb. (didn't have my camera with me otherwise you know I would've taken tons of pix!) After that we went to a house-warming party for someone I thought I didn't know - then it ended up that I met her (Yun) at the ACCC English Retreat last year. What a small world!
Then Saturday was soooooo incredibly awesome! Hung out with the Birmingham peepz from Shocco as they came to visit us ATLiens! Awesome time hanging out with some youth and counselors from ACCC and then reuniting with the B-Ham crew from BCCC! (Pics below) We played Ultimate, then headed back to church to hang out, play Karaoke Revolution, Eat Pizza, play games, and watch movies!
I had to leave early b/c I had to prepare to teach Sunday School for the next day and there was C&C that night. We had a blast at C&C with a lot of old and new (JSW) faces as we made another care package for EJ and TJ and then brainstormed about improvements to the fellowship group and then -- more Karaoke Revolution!
Then on Sunday myself and the usual ACCCN after-service lunch crew met up with the B-Ham and ACCC peepz before the B-Ham people had to leave. I'm glad I got to see them off! Props to my lunch crew who didn't mind driving half an hour all the way from da ALP to Tucker so that I could see the B-Ham peepz before they left for home.
Alrighty then, enjoy the pix!
Here's Jessie who was quite sad after we had to leave the first field we tried to play Ultimate on.
But don't fret Jessie! For we soon found another field!
First we had to decide teams so we split up into pairs and played Rock/Paper/Scissors Here's a cool new friend I met who also wants to be a doctor -- Cecilia and my old friend Michael. Looks like Cecilia's rock crushed Michael's scissors.
We eventually split up into 4 teams -- here are the 2 winning teams together, woohoo!
and of course, we had to take a silly pic: as you can see in this pic, Joy has a distressed look on her face as her friend Katharine is trying to choke her, Bill showing off his guns, Abraham is showing that his tongue is bigger than mine, Isaac is trying to shoot something, Dean is yelling "Noooo!" as Jessie and Albert are trying to beat me on the head, Paul is trying to bite Albert's shoulder, and Dave Yang is representin' da westside.
Then it's BIG group phototime, thanks to my madd photo skillz we were able to get everyone in AND i was able to get in the picture myself with some fast running and diving!

After working up an appetite after a full morning of Ultimate, it was time to head back to church and eat pizza!
Then it was Karaoke Revolution time!

The Chou Bros did the unimaginable! Perfect score on Karaoke Revolution while singing Unchained Melody! Now Derek and I could've gotten a perfect score with our vocal cords tied behind our backs (actually that sounds kinda painful) but like Derek said, we were just being humble j/k! Go Chou bros!
There were also plenty of games and movie watching!

Apparently Evelyn really likes the number 2. And next to those pics are two dudes Bill and Leon.

Fun pics:

And now Jessie and I demonstrate proper form in catching a frisbee in Ultimate:
Then had to go home and prepare for Sunday school then had C&C (Career & College) Group Fellowship - we made a care package for EJ and TJ:

Then as if a whole afternoon of Karaoke Revolution at church wasn't enough, more of it at the end of C&C!

Here are Hong, the newlyweds Jack & Sharon, and the Boey Angels rockin' the mic as well!

Then the next day, on Sunday, after church my ACCCN lunch buddies were nice enough to agree to have lunch far away over in ACCC's neck of the woods so that I could see the B-ham crew before they leave and chill with the ACCCers as well:

Now a weird thing happened at the pho place that we went to (and I'm not just talking about the weird dude videotaping us) but what happened was, apparently something gave some of the guys some really BAD gas. SO bad that they were up writhing around trying to pass their gas (see the captions below the pix):

Here, Dave and Paul are just realizing that they have a bad case of gas and need to pass it out quickly! Dickson and Mark figure out what's going on so they are desperately trying to find a way out!

Next, here we see that Dave can't hold it in anymore and is about to let it rip while Paul is still trying. Meanwhile, Dickson is trying to figure out "should I run this way or that way?" By this time, Mark and Joe just don't know what to do anymore, and Andrew -- realizing the imminent doom of having to inhale Dave and Paul's gas -- gives up and starts crying.

Finally able to let it rip, Dave joyfully gives praise for being able to relieve himself. Paul still can't pass his gas so he is now pleading, "someone! anyone! please pull my finger!!!!" Mark, Joe, and Andrew look down at the ground by Dave and realize "whoa! a little more than just gas came out when Dave let it rip!"
Now here I am looking all spiffy in my tie with the Chu sisters, my future cousin-in-law and Durian shake partner Luo-Ma-Li, and Leon in the back as Paul Chi tries to stick his head in the pic:
And finally, here's a pic of all the ATL counselors-- props to them as they worked so hard (except me, I just showed up and had fun ) to make the B-Ham/ATL reunion happen!
If you'd like to see the pix in all their pixelated glory as well as some pics from this weekend that I didn't put up on my xanga go to http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g285/docjellow/ you can also see pics from Shocco and my trip to Philly among other things.
B-Ham people, yall rock! It was great to see you all again and hopefully we can come visit yall soon too! ATL people yall know you rock too =)
Again, praise God for a wonderful weekend! Peace!
